The Global Experiences Team hosted its first Model United Nations event at the David Chiddick building on October 28th, 2022. Both home and international students attended the workshop which discussed international policy making, promoted cooperation, and raised awareness for students and young professionals.
The workshop teaches model UN organizers and participants how to bring their simulations in line with the actual procedures used at the United Nations. This included workshops and plenary sessions led by inspiring students and experts who shared their experiences and ideas on how to transform Model UN into a force for positive change.
With the tools and skills they learned, the participants left with a sense of community and a new action-oriented vision for their Model UN clubs and conferences. The winning team of this event received a cash prize of 1000 pounds, a trophy, and a certificate of global experience given by the Global Experiences team. More than 30 students from different countries participated in this event and we can’t wait to host the next edition in the coming year!
